September 2017 Construction Numbers Up Again
A significant increase in the number of construction permits issued in the month of September puts the City of Brantford on a path to exceed construction values achieved in 2016.
The City released its September 2017 Summary Report on Construction Activity. The statistics show a construction value of $15.982 million for permits issued in September 2017. The values attained in the month of September represent a 302% increase over the values attained in September 2016, while the number of permits issued is comparable to last year's figures.
The year-to-date construction value of $181.440 million is above last year's total of $106.893 million largely as a result in the increase in the value of permits issued for commercial and multiple residential type buildings.
