Schitt's Creek Films at Sherwood Motel

The critically acclaimed and award winning TV series, Schitt’s Creek, filmed an episode at the Sherwood Motel. Eugene Levy and Chris Elliott were on location during the first day of shooting on June 17. Cast and crew filmed inside several rooms as well as many exterior shots during their two days in Brantford. The Expositor captured the story on the front page.

City staff were excited to welcome the headlining production. The project represents a continuing trend of large and small film and television productions pushing further outside the GTA for new locations. Brantford has seen an increase inquiries and actual productions in recent years. So far in 2019, three major projects have filmed in Brantford including Let It Snow, Schitt’s Creek, and a sports competition reality show set to air in 2020.
