Province Hosts Virtual Events about Trade with India

The Province of Ontario is organizing two online events around technology investment and business opportunities in India.

The first is a webinar focused on ICT and telecom opportunities in India, in conjunction with the Indian consulate, on June 17.

The second is a virtual trade mission on June 22 to India focused on artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things for smart cities in India.

The Ontario government, in partnership with the Consulate General of India in Toronto, are organizing a free webinar on June 17, 2020 outlining opportunities in the ICT and telecom sectors in Ontario and India. The session will provide a clear understanding of the business opportunities in each region. The webinar will also provide insight on the impact of COVID-19 on these industries and a possible approach in the new environment. Participants will learn about:

• Impact of COVID-19 on IT and Telecom sectors in India and Ontario,
• The latest updates and developments in India’s IT and Telecom sectors and advice on how Ontario companies selling technology, services and equipment may find success in the Indian market,
• The impact of the 5G evolution in both India and Ontario, including major telecom players, regulations and device capability, and
• The status of technology implementation in both India and Ontario and potential future opportunities for companies on both sides.
