Gatestone and Co. Hiring Up to 300 Employees

Gatestone and Co., the new owners of the former NCO call centre at 33 Sinclair Blvd., have announced plans to hire up to 300 employees to service a new contract with a large Canadian telecommunications company.

Gatestone and Co. is a mid-sized, Canadian-owned company with approximately 1,500 employees worldwide. Since 1978, they have provided Customer Contact Center and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solutions to various global markets.

Gatestone and Co.’s Vice-President of Operations, Miranda Rienzo, stated they will be hiring for a variety of positions, stressing collections work is not involved with this contract. Gatestone workers will offer customer care and technical support for cable and internet customers. Jobs will include supervisors, team leaders, quality assurance and trainers.

Successful candidates will go through a three or four week training program beginning in August. Depending on experience and position, hourly wages will range from $14.50 to $16.00, with opportunities for bonuses after 90 days.

The company will be holding a job fair on July 31, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the offices of CareerLink on the upper floor of the downtown mall at 1 Market Street. Additionally, on August 1, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Gatestone will hold an open house at their 33 Sinclair Boulevard location.

Applicants are asked to bring two pieces of valid ID, including photo ID, and proof of a social insurance number.
